Quakers on the road to Morpeth on Saturday

Latest pre season friendly

Quakers travel into Northumberland in order to play Morpeth in their latest friendly on Saturday.

Quakers have played four friendlies so far; They've won 5-0 at Bishop Auckland and 3-1 at Hebburn, while they've lost 1-0 at home to Doncaster and drawn 3-3 at home with York City.

The performance on Tuesday against York was quite encouraging with some great attacking football, and manager Steve Watson will be looking for more of the same against the NPL Premier Division side, although he will be looking for an improvement defensively.

Quakers will have some players missing because of injuries and holidays, but nevertheless Steve will include some triallists to bolster the squad.

Morpeth play on a 3G pitch, which will help Quakers as their second game of the season at Oxford City will be on 3G.

The two clubs have never played each other before.
