Darlington have today released defender Chris Hunter.

Chris was signed from Shildon at the start of the 2014-15 season, and helped us win the EvoStik First Division North play offs, and the EvoStik Premier League.

He made 160 appearances for us, and produced some great defensive displays at both right back and centre of defence. He never scored a goal for us, but that reflects the fact that he was always a defender who stayed on the halfway line at setpieces, leaving the goalscoring exploits to his fellow defenders.

Chris started the 2017-18 season at right back, but suffered a serious injury at North Ferriby that unfortunately kept him out for the rest of the season.
