Quakers set for Aycliffe friendly

Second pre season game

Darlington play their second pre season friendly when they go to Moore Lane on Saturday.

Mitchell Curry scored the only goal of the game on Tuesday night at Tadcaster Albion in a good all round performance, and manager Alun Armstrong will be looking for more of the same against the Northern League champions, who are managed by former Darlington assistant manager Brian Atkinson.

Alun will be probably use the same squad again -- Jacob Hazel is having a break after being on international duty -- while there could be a triallist or two added as well.

Admission prices for the game are:
Adult - £9
Concession (65+/disabled) - £6
Junior (17 & under) - £3
Under 5s - Free

Please note that to speed up entry the turnstile is CASH ONLY. However, if you wish to pay by card we will have a Ticket Point in the Sports Club foyer where you can buy a ticket.
The Sports Club bar will be open for those wanting pre-match refreshments. The Bait Cabin in the ground will be open from 1:30pm serving hot & cold drinks, burgers, fries etc.
There will be a Can Bar in the ground which will be open from 2pm.
Please help us by paying with cash if possible & having the exact change.
 
Parking
For this game we will be opening up parking on the grass training area behind the ground. To access this free parking please drive along Moore Lane, past the Club car park, and turn right into the field gate at the end of the lane. Please follow directions to park on the field.
Parking within the the ground is subject to suitable weather / ground conditions.
If you are parking on-street please ensure that you park considerately without causing an obstruction.
There will be a cricket match taking place on the adjacent pitch on Saturday afternoon. Could we please ask that you observe cricket etiquette by not walking behind the bowler's arm as you walk between Clubhouse and the football ground.
 
Public Transport 
If at all possible spectators are encouraged to walk or travel by public transport to the game. Arriva bus services 5/5A pass within five minutes walk of the ground (Shafto Way / Shafto House stop).
