Quakers sign Joe Gibson from Middlesbrough

Midfielder arrives on a month's loan

Darlington have today signed midfielder Joe Gibson on a month's loan from Middlesbrough.

Joe, who is 22, has been with Boro since he was 9 years old, and has been a regular in their under 21 side, making nearly 100 appearances.

He has just returned from injury, and celebrated by scoring the winner in the under21s against Norwich. He played for an hour against Manchester United at the weekend.

He has also played for the first team, having made his debut for them in the FA Cup third round tie at Mansfield in January 2022. He also played in the Carabao Cup against Barnsley.

We'd like to wish Joe all the best over the next month, and also thank Middlesbrough for their assistance with the loan transfer.
