The reserves are looking for their first win in five matches when they go to Annfield Plain on Saturday afternoon.
The lads played well on Monday when they lost to Gateshead Leam Lane, and didn’t get their rewards and instead lost by 2-1, to leave them in midtable of the Wearside League.
However, they will be boosted today by the returns of Brad Moncur and Jamie O’Brien, who were both unavailable on Monday because they were on County duty, and Aaron Skelton also comes back.
But keeper Mattie Bancroft will be missing because he will be part of the first team squad.
Joint manager Mark Fanning said; “We’re determined to end the season well, and complete a double over Annfield Plain.”
The lads beat the Plain 8-1 earlier in the season, but the lads who scored the goals that day aren’t with the club any more.
