Scunthorpe v Darlington preview

FA Trophy second round tie

The FA Trophy begins for Quakers on Saturday with a tough away trip to Scunthorpe in the second round.

The two sides have already met in the league this season, with the Iron coming out on top by 4-0, while Quakers go to Glanford Park determined to do better than their 8-0 thumping at Chorley in midweek.

Quakers, of course, won the competition in 2011, and reached the quarter finals three years ago.

Here are Josh's thoughts on the game:

Team news:

  • Jake Lawlor is struggling with a shoulder injury
  • Jarrett Rivers will have a fitness test on a groin injury
  • Kieran Burton has returned to Hartlepool after the end of his loan
  • Mitch Curry is out because of an arm injury
  • Midfielder Ben Liddle is out because of a hamstring  injury
  • Defender Jordan Windass is out with a hamstring injury
