Darlington u15 sponsored by Baltic Training Services and Billinghurst George & partners travelled to Wearside Boys in the Russell Foster Premier League .

In a competitive but fair game with both sides showing great commitment and endeavour Wearside were awarded a penalty in the 26th minute however Antony Thorpe pulled off a great save to keep the scores level.

Darlington then upped the tempo of the game and only the Wearside keeper kept them in the game thwarting HarryNoble, Adam Bearpark and Bailey Howarth with a string of fine saves to keep the scores level at half time .

The second half very much mirrored the first with Darlington dominating the ball and creating numerous half chances but the Wearside keeper again pulled off numerous excellent saves to keep Darlington at bay. Despite all the chances and possession Wearside nearly snatched the game in the final moments when a poor back pass put the Wearside striker through on goal but Thorpe pulled off a excellent save to ensure the game ended goalless.
