Three new signings for the women's team

All of them 16 years old
Darlington FC Women are delighted to announce not just one signing, but three today.
We would like to welcome Ava Pearson, Krista Williams and Hannah Billingham to the club.
All three players are 16 years old and are just making their first steps into senior womens football. They have all impressed during pre season and done enough to impress manager Shaun Mackenzie to sign on.
Ava Pearson is a young centre back and has been given the number 26 shirt this season. Krista Williams plays in central midfield and will wear number 24, whereas Hannah Billingham is a GK who will wear the number 12 shirt this season.
Women’s team Manager Shaun Mackenzie said; "It was a no brainer to bring all 3 of them in really. They’ve been on trial for a number of weeks and all 3 have impressed me during pre season. It’s a big step coming from youth football to senior womens football and we are excited that we will be the start of their journey in adult football. It’s also great to see that two of them have come from local grassroots teams, showing the talent Darlington has.
"Hannah plays her youth football with FC Darlington Locomotives and was actually my goalkeeper in her primary school team around 5 years ago. I’ve kept in touch and kept track of her development and she’s ready to step up and get her first minutes in the women’s game.
"Ava, more recently with Middleton Rangers having previously been on the books at Sunderland RTC for 4 years and Teesside RTC for 2 years comes with huge potential. Ava has great feet and adds some height to our back line. At only 16, she will be eased into the squad but we are excited to see just how far Ava can go and how good she can be.
"Krista started her football Journey with York RTC and was there for 3 years from as young as U10. She then moved onto Teesside RTC and has been there for the past 3 years. Krista has natural ability on the ball and has an excellent first touch, we look forward to seeing how Krista can develop in the future’
