Darlington manager Tommy Wright says that he is “frustrated” by a weekend of postponed games.
Both of Quakers’ Easter matches against Southport and Spennymoor have fallen victim to the weather (the dates for the re-arranged games will be announced soon), which has left Tommy looking at a busy end of season schedule of six games in three weeks – although that isn’t as busy as some other clubs.
“The two postponements have killed our momentum a little bit,” he said, “so from that point of view it was frustrating. I wanted to get these two games on and keep our good run going.
“But on the other hand, it has given our injured players an extra week to recover from their knocks and make sure they’re 100 per cent. Dominic Collins and Tom Portas will hopefully be back in contention this Saturday, while Luke Trotman picked up a slight knock in training last Saturday and he has a few more days to recover.
“James Caton will also be close to full fitness again, as will Reece Styche and David Syers.
“We’ve still got six games to go, and we want to enjoy the games we’ve got left to play. We’re looking for maximum points from them, we won’t be easing up.”
