Primrose Hill Under 16s 7 Darlington Youth U16s 1.
Darlington Youth U16's were once again down to bare bones and travelled to Stockton to face Primrose Hill in the league.
Darlington started the game with nine players whilst they awaited the arrival of their two other players who were lost. Despite defending well for the majority of the first half Darlo found themselves two goals behind going into half time.
The second half started brightly with Darlo creating a good chance to pull one back minutes into the second half. As the second half continued the effect of having no fresh legs to bring on took its toll and Darlo started to concede goals despite best efforts to block shots and stop crosses.
A well taken goal from Ethan Deehan with a low shot into the bottom right corner brought the score to 4-1 but this was not enough to shift the momentum in Darlington's favour. With a positive defensive performance to build on and a few good transfers in the pipeline, affairs are starting to look a lot more positive for this bright Darlington team.
