Under 23s go nap for second win of the season

Two wins from two games

Our Under 23s had a great 5-1 victory over Wolviston in the second division of the Wearside League at Eastbourne last night.

Ethan Cuthbertson became the second player this season to score a hat trick, with Alfie Fawcett and Matthew Kiro getting the others.

They've now picked up six points from two games, scoring eight goals in the process.

Manager Grant Cuthbertson said; "It was a very good overall perormance. We started really well and imposed our dominance in possession from the start. It was pleasing to see our two wide men playing an integral part in the game and Ethan Cuthbertson scoring a hat trick and Alfie Fawcett scoring a potential goal of the season with a first time finish from outside the box.

"The only downside was allowing Wolviston to score from sloppy play and a lapse in concentration.

"Overall, I was pleased with how we played and implemented the plan for another three points."

Their next game is at Gateshead Leam on Saturday in the Clem Smith Bowl.
