Apologies, a little later than usual but here's Simon's weekly round up Darlington continued their recent form this week, winning in both league and cup. At the weekend we won away at Scarborough Athletic in the FA Trophy 4-0. We then picked up a vital league victory over local rivals Spennymoor Town at Heritage Park on Wednesday night. Graeme Armstrong scoring the only goal of the game inside the first minute.
Darlington scored inside the first minute and went on to make it a perfect ten by doing the double over promotion rivals Spennymoor Town in a thrilling encounter.
Darlington's 4-0 victory over Scarborough at the weekend has earned them a draw against St Neots Town in the the Second Round Qualifying of The FA Trophy.

Simon Hahn's week round up! Darlington remain top of the league table after victory over Burscough at a windy Heritage Park on Saturday. In tough conditions, goals from Amar Purewal, Graeme Armstrong and Steven Thompson saw us win 3-0 to remain ahead of Salford City on goal difference.

On Saturday we progressed in the FA Trophy with victory away to Radcliffe Borough, 2-0. In the next round we travel to Scarborough Athletic. On Tuesday night we were away to Spennymoor in the Durham County Cup, when the under 18’s were used by Martin Gray. Unfortunately they were defeated 4-0 by a strong Spennymoor team, however it is still good experience for the youngsters.

Simon Hahn brings us his regular round up Darlington’s recent struggles continued, as we picked up one point from our two games this week. On Saturday we lost 1-0 at home to league leaders Salford, before drawing 1-1 at Radcliffe Borough on Tuesday night. We are currently ninth in the league table, three points off the final playoff spot.
Darlington were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at Radcliffe Borough. Graeme Armstrong’s header midway through the second half equalised for Quakers, who looked unlikely to score until the hosts had taken the lead just after the break.
Darlington have been drawn away to Spennymoor in the Durham Challenge Cup. The clubs have agreed that the fixture will be played at 7.45pm on Tuesday 21st October at the Brewery Field.
